Remote Access Solution

Access your software or data… Anywhere?

That’s the idea. Traditionally your software or data is stored in a particular PC that you need to access physically in order to find what you need. Remote access solution aims to disconnect the software or your data from a physical location and allow you to access it from where ever you have a computer with internet access. It’s your data on your fingertips, from anywhere. Also, due to licensing restrictions, some software may be installed on a one PC and cannot be reinstalled on other PCs.

What do you need?

Turn Windows 7, 8 or 10 into a terminal server machine. Installing the remote desktop software enables the original host machine to host an unlimited number of concurrent users by using the built-in Microsoft Windows standard Remote Desktop Protocol (RDP) technology. This software allows any Remote Desktop Protocol enabled client device to connect to the host computer to run full Windows Desktop Sessions remotely over any network connection (LAN, WAN, VPN, WLAN, Internet, etc.) regardless of Windows OS version on client PCs. Client PC users will have the ability to connect local printers, local hard drive & USB devices to the Terminal Server desktop. Remote Desktop Protocol v6.0 and above provides 128-bit data encryption using RC4 (Rivest Cipher 4).

When this technology is deployed for ABSS Premier with multi-users, users will be able to resume disconnected sessions without data loss. In addition to this, all processing for ABSS Premier will be conducted on the host PC and this result in faster response for generating reports and entering of data. This technology works on reduced bandwidth as compared to the peer-to-peer technology used by ABSS to share data files amongst users. It is recommended to ABSS customers with above 5 users and has large data files above 300MB. Besides this, customers can also leverage on this technology to access their ABSS program remotely when out of office via the internet without the hassle of setting up VPN.

Benefits of Using Remote Access

EASY ACCESS

The major benefit of a remote desktop connection is being able to connect to your data from anywhere in the world. Your data is in one place that is easy to see and you no longer have to have software installed on your own computer. You also eliminate the need to travel with flash drives to take your information with you.

WORKING REMOTELY

If you have or want a BYOD environment at your company, you need to have the resources to make it efficient. Virtualizing your computer makes it accessible through any computer. This means, you will be able to access your desktop from home or on the go because you can get to it through a web browser. This allows your staff to be productive from any location.

SECURED SECURITY

Some companies are on the fence about this new service and tend to be skeptical about implementing remote desktop solutions, emphasizing security concerns. That is why this type of system is bound by security procedures and configurations. Your connection to a remote desktop is protected by superior encryption technology which eradicates the risk of cyber attacks, hackings, and other data-loss concerns with standard computing and networking.

MINIMIZED COSTS

When utilizing a remote desktop system, you no longer have to invest in multiple copies of the same software or deploy hardware to several locations. By using remote desktop services, organizations can create standard sets of desktops in a single machine that can be remotely accessed by employees from any authorized device. This can lower the cost for remote locations, allowing employees to work where they want to and with more flexibility.
